The Congress government, in power, promised the debt waiver, as per its promise, the farmers have apologized on the tenth day of assuming power.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi had said that if ten days loan of farmers is not waived then they will replace the chief minister. On Thursday, the government had the tenth day and on this day, Rs. 1248 crore was deposited in the account of 3.57 thousand farmers of the state.
Nearly three lakh farmers who have taken loans from banks are those who had repaid the debt before the formation of the government, the government is returning the amount of their debt also. The government had promised to waive debts of 61 million crores to 16.50 lakh farmers. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that ten days of government have come to an end, which has fulfilled what he had promised.
